Registering With Us
The Doctors welcome new patients. You will be registering with the practice rather than an individual GP, although you will be able to say which practitioner you would prefer to see.
Alternatively, please complete the online form below if you wish to register with our practice.
You will be invited to see a member of the practice team for registration health check which forms part of the Practice Registration process. Notes can take a long time to reach us from your previous doctor so this gives us a chance to make sure we know any problems you may have and for you to get to know the surgery. We now need to have your NHS Number at Registration if you do not have this then you will be able to obtain it from your previous GP. Please bring any evidence of medication you are on with you.
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP Practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.
You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently registered with that practice.
To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
